We’re helping take some of the mystery out of trying new incontinence products by putting the spotlight on some of the brands we offer. In today’s post, we’re covering Kendall/Covidien, which sells protective underwear, pads and wound care supplies.
Kendall/Covidien has been around for over 100 years. What used to be two separate companies has formed together under one umbrella. Now the Kendall/Covidien brand is owned by Medtronic, which manufactures and sells a wide range of medical supplies.
Here’s a closer look at the Kendall/Covidien items that we carry.
Briefs and Protective Underwear
Made for moderate absorbency, these briefs are made of super-absorbent polymer. The built-in wetness sensor lets you know when it’s time to change it.
Wings Choice is all about maximum absorbency. They come with leg gathers to prevent leakage, and are fastened with 4 tape tabs.
These briefs come with a “Hook and Loop” closure that make it easy to get the right fit. The cloth-like backing adds comfort and helps with discretion.
Sure Care Protective Underwear are made to look and feel like regular underwear, so they’re discreet and comfortable. They’re put on like a pull-up, but can removed with tear-away sides.
Designed to fit both boys and girls, Curity Youth Pants are great for overnight use.
Formerly known as Tendersorb, these pads provide basic protection. They’re perfect for those who suffer from moderate incontinence.
Unlike the Simplicity line, these are made for heavy absorbency.
Gauzes and Sponges
We carry a variety of Kendall/Covidien gauzes and sponges in different sizes:
Excilon drain and IV sponges are unique because of the pre-cut T-split that fits easily around catheters, drains and chest tubes. This makes them easier to apply — no need for scissors. It also helps protect delicate skin and tissue from getting stuck to the sponge.
